SAI Digital Photography Class
22 & 24 May from 1730-1930. Douglas Cunningham of the Charleston Center for Photography will teach you the basics of composition to include aperture and shutter speed for optimal exposure. This 2-part crash course in digital photography will start you on the right track by giving you a firm foundation of knowledge about this versatile art.
Anita's Crafts - Birthday Cards
22 May from 1 to 2 pm. Learn artistic paper craft techniques to handcraft special cards for birthdays with embellishment. Cost is $15 and includes instruction and materials. Use your PLAYplass. Regisrtaction and payment is at the Arts and Crafts Center.
SAI Digital Photography 101
22 & 24 May from 5:30-7:30pm. Specifically designed for the SAI student who is interested in beginning digital photography, we look at selection of a file type, white balance, and image resolution among other basics of digital photography. The course will also cover the fundamentals of exposure, the effects of shutter speed and aperture, composition, flash, and lenses.
SAI Oil Change Class
23 May from 6:30-7:30 pm. This SAI class includes instruction materials and bay use. Additionally, SAI students receive a coupon for a free do-it-yourself oil change. Our regular oil change classes are instructional only. Cost is $5 for the SAI student.
Sit & Sew a Child's Dress
31 May from noon to 1:30 pm. Learn how to sew a child's dress. Cost for this class is $30 and includes materials and instruction. Registration is at the Arts and Crafts Center
Learn a new craft
Is there a craft or auto class you and your friends would like to take but is not currently offered at the Arts and Crafts Complex? Stop by the Center and let them know what hobby or craft you’re interested in doing and they will try to schedule that class for a time that is good for you or your group. We are also looking for teachers or instructors to lead new classes.
