- . These beginner's classes are free and will teach measuring, mat cutting and mounting. You will learn how to assemble and close a wooden frame. Class consists of one hour of instruction on two consecutive Thursdays – one hour each Thursday.
Instruction is free. Student pays for their materials for their own frame. Please bring your picture to frame– no larger than 16 x 20 to the first class. No canvases or needlepoint please. Space is limited, so register early for these classes!

All materials are included in the cost of the class and registration and prepayment is required at the Arts and Crafts Center. These classes are FREE to DePLAYment participants. Calligraphy

Learn beautiful lettering for everyday uses; address envelopes, scrapbooking journaling, art to frame, wedding invitations and other items. Students receive a study guide and double-nib calligraphy pen to keep. No artistic ability necessary.
Crazy Quilting

Create pieces of art with odd shapes of assorted fabrics. Learn decorative seam cover stitches. Instruction and all materials included; fabric swatches, embellishments, embroidery thread, needles and more. This is not a traditional quilting program.
Telling your life story - life writing workshop

Everybody has a story to tell. Learn to write short stories about your life such as family, growing up, best friends, events and more. Leave a legacy for your children and grandchildren. Participants receive a journal, writing guides and instruction.
Decoupage Journals

Create a useful work of art! Use your imagination to make a themed journal (garden, travel, cooking or diary). All materials included; images, decoupage medium, brushes and embellishments.
Find your inner crafter! Join the Arts and Crafts staff from 5:30 to 6:30p for an hour of creativity. Each month will offer a different exciting and challenging project. Sign up at the Arts and Crafts Center, bldg. 637 (across from the picnic grounds). Dates are:
- March 23 - Free but sign-up is required
- April 20 - A special "something" for Mother's Day. Cost is $10 per person and sign-up is required
- May 11 - Free but sign-up is required
- June 8 - Free but sign-up is required

Stop by the Center and let them know what hobby or craft you’re interested in doing and they will try to schedule that class for a time that is good for you or your group.
