The Arts & Crafts Center is hosting an Art & Craft Fair on March 20 at the base Picnic Grounds. We will showcase our own military artisans as well as local artists. The fair will run from 8a to noon. The Arts and Crafts Center introduces Kevin Bruce Parent, Master Framer! - Stop by and welcome our newest team member. Kevin has 10 years of framing experience, having been most recently at Carolina Galleries and Carolina Fine Art Framing. His specialty is in French Matting, which is decorating mats with watercolors.
Kevin is a self taught black and white, hand colored photographer with a special emphasis on pinhole photography. This unique form of art utilizes a “lensless,” handmade camera that “reduces the subject to segments of time rather than a physical artifact,” describes Mr. Parent.

Do you have a little time and want to give your car/truck some TLC- but, don't want to go too far? CAFB has a do-it-yourself car wash available for personal use on North Davis. Tokens can be purchased on site for the car wash or at the Auto Hobby Shop. The vacuums operate on quarters. So, stop by during break or on your lunch time and give your ride some attention!
Are your plastic vehicle headlight lenses turning yellow, causing you to have trouble seeing at night? For $40 per set, the Auto Hobby Shop can clear your problem right up. Call 963-4942 to set up an appointment.
Is there a craft or auto class you and your friends would like to take but is not currently offered at the Arts and Crafts Complex? Stop by the Center and let them know what hobby or craft you’re interested in doing and they will try to schedule that class for a time that is good for you or your group. The Auto Hobby Shop is now offering a hand-wash car wash service. This service includes washing and drying the vehicle, vacuuming the interior and cleaning the windows. Additional detailing is not available at this time. Call 963-4942 more information and details on the Shop’s pick-up and drop off service. Car wash services prices: small to intermediate vehicles - $12 (includes small pickups); large cars and small SUV’s - $15 (includes two-door pickups); large SUV’s, vans and station wagons - $18 (includes large pickups with more than two doors) The car wash bay will also be available for customers wanting to hand wash their own vehicles with their own supplies.

Did you know that the Auto Hobby Shop provides a $20 on-base Roadside Tire Changing and Battery Charging Service? Program 963-4942 in your cell phone and call our staff for assistance on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The fee to place your car, truck, boat or motorcycle on the Resale Car Lot is $3.50 per week. All others, including RV’s and trailers, is $7 per week.
