American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course Session II

June 26 from 9am to 4 pm. This course gives youth ages 11 to 15 years old the knowledge and confidence to care for infants and school-age children. Combining video, activities, hands-on skills training and discussion for a complete learning experience.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Course

May 14-21. The purpose of the instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Lifeguarding Blended Learning, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, Water park Skills, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers, Administering Emergency Oxygen and Blood borne Pathogens Training courses and/or modules.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training

May 15-21. If you’re 15 or older and looking for a great summer job or challenging career that’s in demand, the Red Cross Lifeguarding program is the place to start. Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn patron rescue and surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED.

American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course

June 12-16. The purpose of American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach courses in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials, how to conduct training sessions and how to evaluate participants’ progress.

Parent and Child Aquatics Class Sessions I, II, III

Parent and Child Aquatics, ages six months to three years- the purpose of Parent and Child Aquatics is to introduce basic skills to parents and children. Parents are taught to safely work with their child in the water, including how to appropriately support and hold their child in the water and how to prepare and encourage their child to participate fully and try the skills.

Pre-School Aquatics Session I

Pre-School Aquatics, ages four and five years-the purpose of Preschool Aquatics is to teach elementary aquatic skills, upon which children continue to build as they progress through the Preschool Aquatics and Learn-to-Swim levels and begin to learn independent aquatic locomotion skills. (Maximum 6 students, minimum 4 students)

Elementary aquatic skills are taught as participants begin to develop positive attitudes, good swimming habits and safe practices in and around the water. (Maximum 6 students, minimum 4 students)

Swim Lessons: Level II Fundamentals – Session I

Level II-Fundamental Aquatics Skills-the purpose of Level II is to give participants success with fundamental skills. Participants learn to float without support and to recover to a vertical position. This level marks the beginning of true locomotion skills. Participants further develop simultaneous and alternating arm and leg actions on the front and back that lay the foundation for future strokes. As in all levels, additional safety skills are presented. (Maximum 6 students, minimum 4 students)
