2022 Air Force Art Contest open for entries!

It's that time of year again to show off your creative artistry! The Air Force Art Contest is open to entries from March 1st to March 31st. This is your chance to shine! And not only can you shine, you can win prizes! Don't think twice. Don't let imposter syndrome settle in. Wave away the self doubt and grab a paintbrush, pencil, or favorite medium, and get creative. 

Winners are determined by a panel of qualified judges and based on impact, creativity, and technical expertise. Prizes are awarded to the top three in each of the five categories. 

- Adult Novice
- Adult Accomplished
- Youth Teen: Ages 13 - 17
- Youth Pre-teen: Ages 9 - 12
- Youth Child: Ages 6 - 8

The contest is designed to recognize and celebrate the art and artistry of our Joint Base Charleston artists and their eligible family members. All branches of service ARE eligible as patrons of MWR programs; participants should have a valid DoD ID card. 

Artists may submit up to two, digital photographs of their two-dimensional (2D) painting or drawing, in one category, for judging. The Subject of the artwork is at the discretion of the artist but must be in compliance with the Official Rules of the contest. Accepted art media include oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, gouache, egg tempera, pen and ink, graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, scratchboard, markers, and metal point.
