Something for Everyone

In celebration of Armed Forces Day, the 628th Force Support Squadron is bringing Joint Base Charleston its first annual Boots & Brews event!

Craft Beer Garden

Southern Crown Partners is bringing out a variety of craft beer vendors with lots of brews for you to try. Scroll down for details and purchase tickets at earlybird pricing.

Kid's Color Run

America's Armed Forces Kid's Run will begin after opening ceremonies at 1pm. Register early to receive a free t-shirt!

Live Music

We've bringing out the stage, and after the opening ceremony with the Honor Guard, National Anthem, and leadership remarks, Zero to Never will take the stage with all the songs you know and love.

Food & Activities

You won't run out of things to do (or eat!) at Boots & Brews! With bouncy houses, the Little White Photo Bus, a mechanical bull, games, appearances from Charlie the Riverdog and Andy the Armadillo, FREE activities at the ORC, and lots of food choices from Vendors and Private Orgs, you'll be busy all afternoon.


Craft Beer Tasting

Our vendors are bringing 20 different craft brews to Joint Base Charleston.

Purchase advance tickets online through the Charleston Club.

Early bird pricing is $20 for Charleston Club Members and $22 for Non-Club Members. Tickets will be $30 at the door. Paid entrance ticket fee includes a commemorative beer tasting cup, beer coozy, and (6) beer tasting tickets. Each ticket is a 4oz pour of your craft brew choice.


America's Armed Forces Kid's Run

Your child can join the Color Run! Please fill out the form below and return it to the Youth Center by May 13th to receive a free t-shirt. Saturday, May 21st, 2022 at the Air Base Picnic Grounds on Joint Base Charleston This is a FREE event for kids ages 5-13, but family members are welcome to join them in running. Sign-in begins at 12:15pm and the run starts at after the opening ceremony at 1pm.

Outdoor Rec Center Open House

If you're going to venture away from the picnic grounds on Armed Forces Day, make sure it's to visit the Outdoor Recreation Center! They are running an open house and want you to stop by and see what's going on.

Visitors will have access to a free rock wall climb (with instruction). Stop by the rental showcase, where staff will show you how to use (or rent!) equipment such as kayaks, paddleboards, surf boards, and campers. Your kiddos will keep busy at the chalk zone. Test your balance on the slacklines. And if you aren't already familiar with what Charleston has to offer, there will be an information station highlighting all of the nearby Charleston attractions and local hotspots!
