Breakfast with Santa/Craft Fair

 On December 11th, the Charleston Club will be hosting two seatings for Breakfast with Santa, (9-10:30am or 11-12:30pm). This is a fantastic event with lots of activities in which to participate. Once your plate is empty, you can get your photos with Santa, say hello to Mrs. Santa Claus, and make something to take home at our arts and crafts tables.

Author Christine DerOhannesian will be attending the event. She is signing and giving away copies of her book, Santa's Magical Chimney. It's a cheeful, rhyming story providing children without the traditional chimney in their homes the opportunity to participate in some Christmas magic. Santa will be able to visit every house on Christmas Eve with no problems. 

If you like prizes, families are encouraged to design and wear their ugliest sweaters to compete in an ugly sweater contest. (Each family will be photographed for judging.) If you are crafty in the kitchen, get out your apron and your pastry icing tools -- there is also a Gingerbread House contest. Contestants can drop off their gingerbread creations early. All houses will be on display for breakfast attendants. Gingerbread homes must be delivered to the Charleston club by December 10th to enter.

In conjunction with Breakfast with Santa is the Christmas Craft Fair, which will also be located at the Charleston Club. From 9am-1pm, vendors are welcome to set up and sell their merchandise. You can sign up at the Air Base's Outdoor Recreation Center. $50 fee includes table, chairs and a canopy. Call 843-963-1732 for more details.
