2021 JBC Tree Lighting Ceremony
We are kicking off the season at each Joint Base Charleston base just after Thanksgiving!
If you've never been to one of our tree lighting ceremonies, you won't want to miss it. If you have been to a ceremony - you still won't want to miss it! It's not just that festive, holiday glow after a special invocation by base leadership that you have to look forward to. The Force Support Squadron has scheduled some amazing activities for you and your family and friends to enjoy, including:
- Santa Claus riding in on a firetruck
- Carols sung by youth choirs
- The Little White Photo Bus is here for fun holiday photos
- A "Cowboy Christmas" ride provided by the James Island Cowboys and their horse, Precious
- Holiday fun with Charlie T. RiverDog
- Photos with Santa and his Elf Helpers
- Letter writing station with the special North Pole mailbox on-site
- Refreshments include hot chocolate, cider, cookies, and candy canes (of course!)
- Holiday music from the NNPTC band (at the Weapons Station only)
At the Weapons Station Thursday, December 2nd: This year, the event at at JBC's Weapons Station has moved! The NEW LOCATION is Fletcher Plaza, next to The Dive on Fletcher Street. (You won't miss it!) Activities will kick off at 5:30pm. The Tree Lighting will occur at 5:45.
